Rhythm Tap for Beginners
Hoofing: This style of tap is similar to rhythm tap.
What are the differences between Broadway tap and rhythm tap?
Broadway tap is more focused on the way a dance looks and rhythm tap is more focused on the way a dance sounds, however those are only broad generalizations, because of course all tap dancers care about how they look and sound.
Rhythm Tap is a tap dance style created by dancers who produce intricate, rhythmic patterns and phrasing with their feet. In performance, the rhythm tap dancer becomes a percussive musical artist and instrument.
I was fortunate enough to learn from one of the greats. Savion Glover (below) is a tap dance savant. And I'll be teaching his style of tap.
